A few days ago, Audi officially released the official image of the R8 Japan Final Edition. This car is an exclusive model built to bid farewell to the Japanese market. It is priced at 35.08 million yen, approximately RMB 1.76 million, and is limited to 8 units. According to previously announced news, the Audi R8 model will officially cease production in 2023.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a design style that we are very familiar with. The large air intake grille on the front face is paired with sharp headlights, showing a strong visual impact. In addition, the model also comes in three colors: white, black and gold. The color is inspired by the bird with white feathers: the ibis, which looks very unique.
Looking from the side, it still adopts the classic Audi R8 design. The low body, wide tires and streamlined roof design all highlight the sporty temperament of this car. The car is also equipped with bronze 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers, which enhances the combat atmosphere of the entire vehicle.
A wide spoiler is installed at the rear of the vehicle, which combined with an exaggerated diffuser further enhances the car's sporty attributes. In addition, the new car’s mirror caps, front lip, side skirts, rear wings and rear diffuser all use carbon fiber materials, which not only reduces the weight of the car, but also increases the sporty feel.
The interior continues the design of the regular version. The new car also uses a dual color combination of black and alabaster white, creating an elegant and dynamic atmosphere. The entire car is wrapped in Nappa leather, and the roof is made of Alcantara, providing a comfortable touch. There is also a nameplate indicating the model on the door sill, highlighting the uniqueness of the car.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 5.2L V10 self-priming engine with a maximum power of 620 horsepower and a peak torque of 580 N·m. It is matched with a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox and a quattro four-wheel drive system.
