The year-end bonus of 40 times the monthly salary is not enough, and the "mid-year bonus" of 10 times the monthly salary will come again.
According to Taiwan media reports, Evergreen Shipping held a board meeting on March 15, and made it clear that it will issue another NT$1.303 billion (about 290 million yuan) in employee remuneration.
Based on the 2017 employees of Evergreen Shipping in 2020 and the average monthly salary of NT$60,000 per person, each person can receive a "mid-year bonus" that is 10 times the monthly salary. Received a year-end bonus equivalent to 40 times the monthly salary. Many employees of Evergreen Shipping exclaimed after seeing the account: "Did I read it wrong!" At the same time, I would also like to thank the staff for their support all the way. It is understood that when Evergreen Shipping was in a downturn in 2019, the year-end bonus of employees was "0".
In addition, on the board of directors, Evergreen Shipping also announced the surplus distribution plan in 2021, which will distribute a cash dividend of NT$18 per share. At the same time, in order to adjust the capital structure, it is planned to reduce the capital by cash, and the capital reduction ratio will reach 60%, and each share will return NT$6 to shareholders.
It is estimated that after the capital reduction, the number of ordinary shares listed by Evergreen Shipping will be 2,116,419,655 shares at NT$10 per share. The capital reduction plan will be implemented after the resolution of the general meeting of shareholders held in May, and is expected to be completed within the third quarter of this year.
The management of Evergreen Shipping is very optimistic about the prospect of the company this year. Data shows that in the first two months of this year, Evergreen Shipping’s operating income has reached NT$112.146 billion, a year-on-year increase of 93.1%, and the increase is astonishing.
Some Taiwanese media even predicted that the employees of Evergreen Shipping "will get 100 times the monthly salary bonus in two years just around the corner."
