The audience witnessed Zhan Dapeng's transformation along with the rescue missions where the police must go out again and again. In an interview with Daxiang News reporter, Yi Daqian also talked about his understanding of the role, including his new understanding and feelings about the profession of firefighters.

Yi Daqian has always wanted to try a tough-guy role, and Zhan Dapeng's appearance is like fulfilling his "very glorious heroic dream", especially for a firefighter, a glorious profession that really exists in life and guards the lights of thousands of homes day and night.

Q: After watching the drama, what attracted you the most?
Answer: It is very real! Many of the cases in the play are adapted from real events, including encountering a private car blocking the road on the way to rescue, rescuing donkey friends in the middle of the night, and deflagration caused by illegal material storage. Everyone should have seen similar reports on the news.Our shooting is also all on-site shooting. The main focus of the plot, environment, and reaction is a reality. There are also the growth process of each character in the play, and the display of life full of fireworks like the title of our play "Fireworks in My World" are all points that attract me.
Q: Zhan Dapeng was always at odds with Song Yan, the head of the fire station played by Yang Yang, as a recruit in the early stage, and then he counterattacked and became the first in the assessment. How to grasp the changes in the mentality and emotions of the character as he grows?
Answer: Because the webmaster is really too strict! Haha no, I think it was due to Dapeng’s personality that he was more anxious in the early stage. What he wanted most when he entered the fire station was to get out of the fire and save people. But the standard of passing the training at Shilitai is the excellent standard of other stations, how long does it take to pass the training? But later, I saw the demonstration of the webmaster first, and knew that these standards can be achieved, and my own ability is far from enough to enter the fire scene. And I understand that the station master has set such a high standard because he actually wants to protect his team members, so that his team members are able to carry out rescue operations smoothly and safely evacuate from the fire scene. After understanding the good intentions of the stationmaster, Dapeng spontaneously admires the stationmaster, no matter in terms of strength or psychology. I think not only Dapeng, but all firefighters should demand themselves according to the standards of the station master, who is a model for our whole station to learn from.
asked: Dapeng still has a relationship in the play, what do you think of Dapeng's attitude towards relationships?
Answer: Zhan Dapeng is just a fledgling boy, haha, but he treats ignorant feelings with absolute simplicity. Sister Nan helped him wash a pair of gloves to see how "worthless" he smiled. I think the relationship between Dapeng and Sister Nan is more a result of caring for and supporting each other in joint rescues. The pure and selfless heartbeat is very moving.
asked: This time you acted as a glorious firefighter, what do you want to say to the firefighters who bravely go retrograde in reality and save the people from water and fire?
Answer: I want to say to them: Thank you for your hard work! I really feel honored to be able to experience the glorious profession of firefighters through the opportunity of filming. I have had an addiction, but real firefighters experience hardship, fatigue, and danger day after day, just to protect the lives and property of the people. I think firefighters are really great heroes. Salute to all firefighters! I hope you can successfully complete each mission and return to the team safely!
About the performance
"There is no reason to shout bitterness and tiredness"
As a drama focusing on firefighting and rescue, many fire accident scenes in "Fireworks in My World" were actually shot on the spot. The fire scene that may deflagrate at any time, the earthquake ruins full of broken walls, and the dangerous ravines and cliffs with extremely low visibility in the dark are all the dangerous environments that the creators need to face when shooting. Even after undergoing systematic and rigorous pre-training, Yi Daqian was still surprised by the simulated fire scene, earthquake and other rescue environments when it came time to shoot. In particular, the filming took place in summer, and the temperature itself was often as high as 40 degrees. The actors wore real firefighter equipment, which was heavy and airtight. "Battle suits, combat boots, water belts, and a set of basic rescue equipment weighed more than 40 kilograms." Yi Daqian remembered that during the filming, the clothes could wring out water, and his face would be red because of wearing rescue equipment for a long time... Before officially entering the filming, Yi Daqian and the actors who played the role of firefighters also went to the fire station for on-site experience and systematic training in advance. During the experience, they ate, lived and trained with real firefighters, carried out actual combat training, and received on-site rescue. In addition to the systematic training, Yi Daqian also made a lot of preparations for the role in private, including watching various firefighting documentaries, real rescue cases and so on.After getting to know Zhan Dapeng's personality, Yi Daqian specially added his own small designs to the characters during the shooting, such as using doggy eyes to ask Song Yan for praise after training progress, and using hairspray to style the cut-up when meeting the girl he likes, hoping to show a cute young man who is interesting, real and a bit stinky.
asks: What is your impression of firefighters? Do you have any updated or more specific cognitions or feelings after shooting?
Answer: My impression of firefighters is that they make people feel safe. No matter what happens in life, from fires and earthquakes to breaking down doors and trees, as long as the firefighters are on the scene, they will definitely feel at ease and protected. After shooting, the feeling is that firefighters are really hardworking. Whenever they feel tired, they will think that the real fire environment faced by firefighters must be extremely harsh, and there are more unknowns and dangers. At that time, I felt that they were really difficult and great!
asked: What preparations did you make in advance to play the role of a firefighter well?
Answer: During the training, director Li Muge asked us to meet the training standards of real firefighters, and told us: The appearance you present represents Chinese firefighters, so the training must meet the standards! Whether it is wearing rescue suits, laying water belts, or rappelling high-rise ziplines, we have repeatedly practiced them very proficiently. And we also had the experience of going to the police. What impressed me most was that when the alarm bell rang, people who were doing anything in all directions began to run like a conditioned reflex. We paid attention to all the details of the firefighters' rescue actions around the accident scene, and wanted to do our best to restore the real rescue and living conditions of the firefighters when shooting.
asked: For you, what difficulties did you encounter when shooting?
Answer: Because I was afraid of the dark when I was young, we had entered a simulated fire scene during the early training. Once we entered, the smoke was billowing, the visibility was extremely low, and we could hardly see anything. In terms of physical fitness, I think I am OK, because I have been insisting on exercising, and I am quite confident in myself. During the pre-training, I climbed the eighth floor wearing an air respirator and carrying a hose, and after I got down, I ran laps with the dummy.
asked: There are a lot of firefighting and rescue scenes in the film, which one shot impressed you the most?
Answer: The one that impressed me the most was a scene where I was in charge of carrying a water gun to put out the fire and cool down the outside of the fire scene, because it was the first time I shot a fire fighting and rescue scene after the camera was turned on. We shot this kind of scenes on the spot in a very real fire environment. Of course, what we were facing was a liquefied gas fire within a controllable range. Although I was shooting water cannons on the outside to cool down the teammates who were going deep into the rescue, the temperature near the fire scene was really high, and it felt like it was approaching 50 degrees, and I was wearing a heavy, stuffy, airtight fire fighting suit. Moreover, in that scene, a teammate was blown out from the second floor. The impact of the detonation and the fire spots on the teammate were too thrilling and real. It shocked me a lot. After entering the fire scene, I had to do some psychological construction first (laughs).
Future plans
"Filming well, living well"
Zeng Fan, an innocent overseas doctor in "The Wonderful Hand", Yuan Lang, the boss of the rivers and lakes who bears the secret of revenge in "The Man in the Dream", Xue Tian, the Erha Benha tug-of-war athlete in "Isn't It Just a Tug-of-War?" , there are sunny and cheerful boys who are similar to his personality, and there are strong contrasting characters who need self-construction, all of which are honing his acting skills. To him, being able to continuously output excellent works and favorite characters to the audience, and experience different life trajectories during the performance, is the happiest part of being an actor.
In addition to meeting everyone through the characters of his works, Yi Daqian's active and self-disciplined lifestyle can always be seen on his social platforms.Yi Daqian, who talked about fitness, also has a lot of experience: "You must learn to enjoy the health and energy brought by exercise. Once you experience the joy, you really can't stop." Because of this, not only does Yi Daqian maintain the standard of athletes with a body fat rate of less than 10% and excellent physique, it can also become an extra point for him when he is in contact with athletes and firefighters.
Q: The firefighters this time and the athletes in "Isn't It Just Tug-of-War" both have high requirements on the figure and physical fitness of the actors. What kind of standards do you usually have for yourself?
Answer: I was taken by my father to run in the park in the morning when I was five or six years old. Later, when my father was lazy, I ran by myself. I started to have the awareness of exercising in high school. When I went to college, I would go to the gym and plan to keep fit. The frequency is to practice every day. I have been persisting in this way. I must learn to enjoy the health and energy brought by exercise. Once I experience the joy in it, I really can’t stop. My body fat percentage is the most exaggerated but I am most satisfied when it is 7.9%. I think unless the role requires me to gain weight, otherwise I will always maintain a body that I am satisfied with, that is, the kind that looks thin and fleshy when dressed.
Question: Four dramas have been aired in a row this year. So far, which of the four characters Zeng Fan, Yuan Lang, Xue Tian, and Zhan Dapeng is most like you? Which is the greatest challenge?
Answer: As an actor, I am very lucky and happy to be able to keep meeting audiences with many works. These four characters I think Xue Tian and Zhan Dapeng are more like me, they all look like Leo, hahaha. I think the biggest challenge is Yuan Lang, because on the one hand, he has the ruthlessness of a big brother who avenges his father, and on the other hand, he is caring and gentle to his younger sister. The contrast is huge, and his experience is the farthest from my life. In fact, Zeng Fan's challenge is quite big, because he is a doctor, there are a lot of medical skills in the play, and he is still a chatterbox, so the amount of lines is quite challenging.
asked: If you were not an actor, what do you think you might be doing now? What other work arrangements are there next? What kind of roles do you want to try in the future?
Answer: If I wasn’t an actor, I would either be a chef or a car-related job. Cooking and cars are two areas I like very much. I also love cooking and collecting car models.
I'm already filming a new film in the crew, and it's only been a while since I started filming. I hope I can put myself into it and play the new role well. Afterwards, I want to challenge myself to play a policeman, and to advance to play an undercover policeman. This is the type of role I have always wanted to challenge.
Q: My birthday will be on August 1st. What wishes and things do you want to achieve in the new year?
Answer: In the new year, I hope I can make more progress and grow. My family and friends, those who love me and those I love must be healthy and safe. What's more, make a good film and live a good life!
