On December 15, Douyin Live held the "Art Broadcasting Plan-Douyin Live Academy Troupe Special" year-end summary event, where representatives from more than 50 literary and art troupes across the country gathered together. During the event, Douyin Live announced that it would upgrade the special project and expand the scope of support in the next year, providing resource support and business training to troupes at the county level and above, and helping 200 literary and art troupes operate online theaters.
In April 2023, under the guidance of the Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Performance Industry Association and Douyin Live jointly launched the "Art Broadcasting Plan-Douyin Live Troupe Special Project". Through this support plan, 1,145 actors from 92 literary and art troupes have launched individual or group online broadcasts, and 55 literary and art troupes have signed contracts to join Douyin Live Broadcast in the form of brokerage agencies. Shi Min, the person in charge of
's "Art Broadcasting Plan - Douyin Live Academy Group Special Project" said that since the launch of the support plan, Douyin Live has been collecting feedback and opinions from the academy groups. In the next year, it hopes to target the actual pain points and needs of the academy groups. Upgrade support plan. The upgrade of the
support plan will specifically focus on three directions. First of all, Douyin Live will expand the scope of the support plan and open the entry of academies at the county level and above. Shi Min introduced that grassroots county-level art troupes rarely have their own art performance venues, so performance opportunities and audiences are limited, and there is a strong demand for online "second stages." Previously, these literary and art troupes were not included in the support plan. "We hope to help at least 100 county-level art troupes and 1,000 actors find online stages in live broadcast rooms next year through traffic support and operation services."
Secondly, the support plan will focus on improving the online operations of art troupes capabilities to help them earn more income. In the early stages of live broadcasting, the literary and art troupe lacked specific understanding of new media, and its online operations were not yet mature. "For example, many theater groups will ask the following questions after settling in: How to set up a live broadcast room? What equipment should be purchased? How to attract actors to live broadcast?" Shi Min gave an example. "Even some academies whose live broadcasts are gradually getting on the right track will have questions: How do market-based brokerage agencies operate?"
She said that in the next year, Douyin Live will link up with market-oriented content agencies to provide literary and art academies with Provide 100 in-depth training sessions. "We hope to provide a relatively mature methodology for literary and art troupes in terms of team building, actor training, actor management systems, etc., and improve the online management level of the theater troupes." Currently, there are 55 literary and art troupes in the form of brokerage agencies Douyin Live plans to increase this number to 200 next year.
Third, Douyin Live will co-create local cultural and tourism content with more art troupes in the next year. Take the Yanbian Song and Dance Troupe as an example. If you search for the keyword "Yanbian" on Douyin, many hot topics and videos come from live content clips of the Yanbian Song and Dance Troupe. Shi Min said that in the future, he hopes to provide content planning based on city characteristics for art troupes. "By co-creating cultural tourism themed live broadcasts and hot topics with the troupes, local literary and art troupes can become one of the business cards of urban cultural tourism."
According to reports, under the guidance of the "Art Broadcasting Plan-Douyin Live Broadcasting Troupe Special Project" and Under the influence, in the past year, art troupes active in Douyin live broadcast rooms have brought a total of 6,800 group live performances, which is equivalent to 18 large-scale art performances every day. At the same time, actors from the art troupe joined the online "second stage" in a flexible "personal broadcast" format. In the past year, the number of individual live broadcasts of actors from literary and art troupes increased by 440.72% year-on-year, and their reward income increased by 406.7% year-on-year. The upgraded support plan is expected to provide more assistance to art troupes operating online theaters. Editor in charge: Ren Xinyi (EN063)
