This important cultural project will become one of the first ten public cultural facility projects in the capital city of Hainan Province that is open to the outside world. It is understood that the Haikou Performing Arts New Space is located next to Wanlu Garden on Binhai Avenue, Longhua District, Haikou City. It is a connection project between the Haikou People's Theater and supporting projects, with a total construction area of approximately 26,000 square meters. Its design concept originates from the Haikou Bay Performing Arts Center, which is adjacent to it. It aims to create a new cultural and performing arts landmark in Haikou Bay. It is oriented towards drama viewing activities, pays attention to the form of space combination, and combines traditional theater space with innovative outdoor theater activity space. The
pavilion has multiple functional areas, including a 500-seat comprehensive theater, a 300-seat Pioneer Theater, and a 100-seat rooftop amphitheater. It can host various small and medium-sized theatrical performances, concerts, avant-garde dramas and other types of performance activities, which can not only make up for the shortcomings of urban public cultural facilities, but also improve the city's public cultural service capabilities.
