The smoke was billowing in the kitchen, I immediately squatted down and moved forward step by step. I saw the oil pan was on fire. The fire was like a pillar of fire, rushing upward, and a neighbor was pouring water into the oil pan. I stopped him loudly and asked Ms. Liu to bring a quilt. After I got wet, I covered it on the oil pan. The fire of the oil pan was temporarily controlled, but the range hood and the ceiling fire were getting bigger and bigger. I can't stand it. I instinctively took a step back, the quilt in my hand slipped off the frying pan, and the frying pan was turned over. The scalding hot oil splashed on my legs, burst into flames in an instant, and the flames enveloped my whole body. Fortunately, the deflagration only lasted a second or two. By the time the fire was out, the sweatpants I was wearing were gone, and my eager neighbor called an ambulance and took me to the hospital.
In the two months that I was in bed, my legs shrunk after surgery, especially the calves, which were only skin and bones at the time. As a marathon enthusiast, I was worried that I would never be able to run a marathon again. Luckily, after rehab, I can basically run normally now. Someone asked me afterwards, are you not afraid?
