On the afternoon of April 3, Li Wenzhi, an instructor of the Economic Investigation Brigade of Wuding County Public Security Bureau, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, who had been with the police for 22 years, and three colleagues drove back to the county after finishing a day of poverty alleviation work. Outside the car window, it was raining heavily. When
approached the village committee of Haizi Village, Gaoqiao Town, a child without an umbrella suddenly crossed the road. In order to avoid the child, Li Wenzhi's car drove in a hurry and successfully avoided the child. However, because of the slippery road, the entire body of the vehicle rolled over and rushed straight into the farmland by the roadside. The villagers near
rushed to help immediately after seeing the vehicle accident. "How about that child? Is it okay?" Li Wenzhi, who was rescued by the villagers, was seriously injured and still remembered the child's safety.
Someone found a straw mat under Li Wenzhi, and someone gave her an umbrella to protect her from the rain. A villager saw Li Wenzhi shivering from the cold, so he ran home and took a quilt to cover her, and even boiled sweetened eggs to feed her.
Soon, Li Wenzhi and several other injured colleagues were sent to Wuding County People’s Hospital for treatment. Li Wenzhi, who was the most injured, was transferred to Kunming for treatment. Due to severe internal organ damage, Li Wenzhi was only 45 years old. In the end, he gave his precious life. After the

Luoganmo Village is the most remote village group in Dongpo Dai Autonomous Township, Wuding County. It takes more than 3 hours to drive to the county seat for more than 100 kilometers.
Although Li Wenzhi only covers 4 poor households in Paologanmo Village, she will also take the initiative to help other poor farmers and solve practical problems for the masses. Li Junjun, deputy head of Dongpo Township, said that the roads and drinking water projects in Luoganmo Village are lagging behind. Li Wenzhi took the initiative to negotiate with township and village officials to obtain project funds for improving infrastructure. With the joint efforts of Li Wenzhi and the cadres in the village, Luoganmo Village hardened more than 2 kilometers of roads, built a new village group party branch activity room and two drinking pools, so that the villagers bid farewell to the muddy road and drank tap water.
