On the evening of June 29, the Hengqin Tianmuhe 2024 Midsummer Concert, hosted by the People's Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, officially opened. It is reported that admission to this concert is free and will be held continuously. From June 29 to August 18, there will be live performances by singers every Saturday and Sunday from 17:30 to 21:30.
On the opening night, the famous Hong Kong folk singer Ou Ruiqiang, Hong Kong female singer Tong Baoru, and artists from the Macau Folk Song Association came to the scene to officially kick off the midsummer concert with a number of distinctive Cantonese folk songs. At the
scene, classic folk songs such as "I Love Nature", "Meet Me in Childhood" and "Returning to the Stranger" led the audience to travel through the ocean of nature and music. Tang Baoru sang "Lovesick in the Storm" with the famous Hong Kong folk singer Au Rui Keung, which even caused a chorus at the scene. The concert will be held to better respond to friends’ expectations.” Feng Fangdan, deputy director of the Cooperation Zone’s Civil Affairs Bureau, said that the purpose of holding this concert is to show the cultural charm of the cooperation zone to the public and bring richness and diversity to the residents of Qin’ao. It also hopes to attract more cultural resources and creative talents to the cooperation zone, further enhance the cultural soft power of the cooperation zone, and promote the prosperity and development of cultural undertakings in the cooperation zone.
