" Priceless Treasure " is adapted from the Korean movie "Guarantee". Although the theme is a comedy movie, the whole process is full of tragedy. Shi Zhenbang, played by Zhang Yi , is no longer a lame character this time, but has a broken finger. And this finger was crushed by a machine in order to save the life of his good brother Yang Wu (played by Pan Binlong ).
The plot tells us from the beginning that Shi Zhenbang is a kind-hearted person. However, it is undoubtedly a very difficult thing for a kind person to collect debts. Sure enough, after they watched the real debtor run away, leaving his wife and children alone, they relented. He said he wanted to collect debts, but in fact he only dared to eat expired food from the refrigerator and "rob" his child's game console.
The debtor’s wife, Wang Manli, is also a poor person. She has no intention of denying it. She plans to go abroad to make money to pay off the debt. However, the child needs to be left with Shi Zhenbang to help take care of her for a few days. Later, the child’s second uncle will come to pick her up, and Help her pay off her debt first. In the end, the so-called second uncle really came, and Shi Zhenbang got the money as he wished. The story should have ended here, but Shi Zhenbang's kind nature allowed the story to continue.
The first half of this movie is quite warm. The way Shi Zhenbang and Yang Wu took in the little girl Qianqian was like the way Mo Sanmei and Wang Jianren took in Xiaowen in "Life Events". Qianqian and Xiaowen were both rebellious and resistant at first, but later they became very sensible and clever. Therefore, in just a few days, Shi Zhenbang went from sheltering to "guarding" without even realizing it.
Shi Zhenbang From the perspective of passersby, he is "nosy". In fact, he shouldn't delve into Qianqian's affairs. He can live a good life, get the money he owes, pay off his debts, and then go back to get his ex-wife back. Maybe everything can return to peace. When normal people realize that there is something wrong with "Second Uncle", they basically just choose to call the police, and there is nothing they can do for the rest.
Shi Zhenbang just likes to "meddle in other people's business". He not only lies alone on the coal truck, but also runs to Anxi to save his children the return fare. He even risked his life to break into the trafficker's "base camp" and rescue Qianqian. This is also one of the more "magical" scenes in the film. To save people, you need to save people. You have to break yourself to pieces and then break in to save people. Moreover, there were no security personnel at all in the entertainment venue, so he felt like he was in a deserted place, and the police finally arrived at some point.
Perhaps, God wants to promote this "father-daughter fate". Shi Zhenbang and Yang Wu took care of Qianqian growing up together. The development of the story reminded me of "Life Events", where Xiaowen's missing mother suddenly came back to pick her up. By coincidence, Qianqian's biological mother Wang Manli suddenly appeared more than ten years later.
The film also ushered in its first climax. " Life Events" focuses on the inseparable relationship between Mo Sanmei and Xiaowen. "Priceless Treasure" reflects a kind of tragedy. Wang Manli sold her daughter to her "second uncle", which was indeed cruel. However, there was nothing she could do at the time. In the end, she found that Qianqian lived happily with Shi Zhenbang, so she decided to sacrifice herself to pay for her sins.
Wang Manli was terminally ill and had no way to provide financial help to her daughter, so she "gifted" a "status" to Shi Zhenbang and Qianqian to solve her daughter's household registration problem. After she and Shi Zhenbang received the certificate, they chose to jump off the building without any hesitation. Many people question, why not recognize mother and daughter? According to normal logic, she really didn't have the face to recognize each other, and she chose to die because she didn't want to drag down the kind-hearted Shi Zhenbang. The treatment fees for terminal illnesses were a bottomless pit. She would rather spend all the money on her daughter.
If the movie ended here, I might think it was still a passable movie. However, the director wanted to express too many things, and I always felt that the ending was not shocking enough. In the end, not only did Qianqian become a "big star", but Shi Zhenbang accidentally killed the human trafficker in order to protect Qianqian's reputation and was sentenced to 6 years in prison. At Shi Zhenbang's age, he still has six more years to go.
What is even more outrageous is that Shi Zhenbang fell from the hot air balloon just after he was released from prison. At that height, Shi Zhenbang could only hold on for his last breath. I'm not saying that the movie can't be a tragedy in the end, but this plot is really just for the sake of sensationalism, just like the bloody car accident scene in the past.
In short, this movie is 132 minutes long. The director really has to thank Zhang Yi and Pan Binlong for holding up the entire movie. Especially Zhang Yi's acting skills. Although the plot is very jumpy and absurd, when you see the expression on Zhang Yi's face, you seem to feel that you can "empathize" with him.
Shi Zhenbang had been the "third uncle" for most of his life, and finally he was lying on the hospital bed, waiting for Qianqian's "Dad" to finally come. I originally thought that the priceless treasure was my daughter Qianqian, but finally I realized that the priceless treasure was also Qianqian's "third uncle". Perhaps, in Qianqian's heart, "third uncle" has long been more important than the title "dad". After all, her father would abandon her, but her "third uncle" would not.
