9-year-old Guan Jingxi is a left-behind child at Lidian Primary School, Pantang Street, Xinzhou District, Wuhan City. She has a pair of big dark and bright eyes under the oval frame. She often feels lonely when her parents are not around. Since she started learning photography , she gradually discovered the joy of learning and life, and was also full of interest in the art of photography.
Lidian Primary School is located at the foot of the Dabie Mountains in the old revolutionary area. It is one of the remote rural boarding primary schools in Wuhan City. Most of the children in the school are left-behind children like Guan Jingxi. Outside the campus, the childhood of country children is simple and pure. In today's era when anyone can be a director, the spring breeze of film has also reached this remote mountain school.
On October 18, 2023, Wuhan City’s first “Film and Television House” public welfare project settled in Pantang Lidian Primary School.
"Film and TV Houses" is a public welfare project for primary and secondary schools jointly launched by the China Television Artists Association and the provincial TV Artists Association. In the 9 years since its establishment, more than 50 "Film and TV Houses" have been created across the country, covering 15 provinces, benefiting more than 20 countries. Thousands of young people in remote areas. The establishment of this project allows students to learn basic knowledge of film and television in their spare time, improve their comprehensive aesthetic education, use lenses to record hometown stories, and allow distant relatives and parents to pay attention to every detail of their own growth through images.
Since late October 2023, the "Film and Television House" has organized and carried out 10 public welfare courses. He Shuang, a teacher from the School of Journalism and Communication of Wuhan University, conducts offline teaching regularly every week for more than 30 students in film and television interest classes. and extracurricular shooting activities, launching a series of courses around the themes of "shooting skills, photography exercises, video editing teaching, outdoor shooting" to lead children into the world of movies and start their own "artistic life".
Guan Jingxi said: "I like film and television shooting very much. This interest class taught me how to shoot and edit film and television characters. We use the camera to record the good times with my classmates on campus. I feel very happy and hope to shoot more works in the future. Showing the stories of life and hometown."
After more than two months of teaching, on January 19, the first semester of the "Film and TV House" public welfare class was successfully completed. The students learned a lot. They learned through the exploration of theme materials, They independently wrote, directed and starred in their unique short video works - "Ten Minutes Between Classes", "Smoking Is Harmful to Health" and "Everyone Has a Responsibility to Cherish Food".
"In the film and television art class, we expanded our horizons and thinking ability through observation, discussion and artistic creation.
