The company asked for 45 million yuan in bribes, and he himself got 28 million yuan. Although Zhang pleaded guilty, he said that the company offered bribes on his own initiative, and claimed that the agreed amount was only 30 million yuan. He also said that he had "never seen so much money" and was afraid that his family would know about it, so he kept the money at home.
