Li Bingbing: At first, I was moved by the story behind the movie. A 6-year-old child suffered an accident. Li Bingbing: At first, I thought to myself, the purser, I know, know, and have seen. But when I actually do it, I feel empty inside. So before filming started, the crew and I requested that we have to experience life, so we went to Xinjiang for training. When she saw the child, she didn't know the child's injury, and her first reaction was to think of her son. Her child is also six or seven years old. As a mother, she is very distressed all of a sudden.
When she took the plastic bag, she felt the soft, cold feeling inside. I heard that it was the child's arm, and the whole scalp was numb. In our imagination, the broken arm may undergo some special treatment and packaging; but at the time of the emergency, being able to catch the plane and perform the operation was the most critical. I was instructed to keep the amputated limb at a low temperature, but not to put it in the refrigerator, so I kept adding ice cubes to the plastic bag. Later, when the ice cubes were not enough, I put iced cola and mineral water in it to maintain the temperature.
She told me about the complicated feelings at that time: to stabilize the emotions of the passengers in the rear cabin, to take care of the injured patients and their families, as the flight attendant, no matter how flustered I was, I couldn't show it. I asked her, "What did you say at the time?" She said, "Nothing, just restraint." These touched me a lot and allowed me to better complete the construction and performance of this character.
