Recently, multiple Korean K-Pop groups submitted nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards. The nominees for the 63rd Grammy Awards will be announced next month in November. Therefore, many K-pop groups have submitted Grammy nominations, hoping to become one of the official nominees.

1, BTS
As previously reported, BTS has submitted seven Grammy nominations, and their best-selling album "Map of the Soul: 7" has submitted an application to nominate "Album of the Year" (Album of the Year), "Best Pop Vocal Album" (Best Vocal Album) and "Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical" (Best Design Album, Non-Classical).
Their English-ranked single "Dynamite" has been submitted as "Record of the Year", "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance" (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance), "Best Music Video" "(Best Music Video) and "Song of the Year" (Song of the Year).
"Map of the Soul: 7" ranked first in 20 countries (including Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom), which is the world's three largest music markets. This album ranked first on the Billboard 200 and is the best-selling album in Korean history. On the other hand, "Dynamite" ranked first on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first BTS single to top the list, and it was also the first time South Korea topped the list.
Last year, the BTS won the Grammy Awards and sang his song "Old Town Road" with Lil Nas X. However, the boys kept saying in interviews that they wanted to perform their own songs and were nominated for Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards have been their ultimate goal for a long time, and now it seems that it is time for them to realize their dreams.
2, BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK has submitted a nomination for "Best New Artist". In addition, the song "Ice Cream" they sang with Selena Gomez was submitted as "Record of the Year", "Song of the Year" and "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance".
"Ice Cream" ranked 13th on the Billboard Hot 100, and is BLACKPINK's first single to make it into the top 20 on the charts. The song ranked in the top 10 in Singapore and Hungary, in the top 20 in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, in the top 40 in Ireland, Lithuania and the United Kingdom, and it reached eighth in South Korea.
3, SuperM
SuperM also submitted the "Best Newcomer" nomination. Their first song "Jopping" has been submitted for nominations for "Best Music Video", "Best Pop Duo/Band Performance", "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year". Their album "Super M-The first Mini Album" has been submitted "Album of the Year", "Best Pop Vocal".
"Jopping" ranked first in the Billboard World Digital Songs list, and ranked 25th in the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 list. The song was added to the list of "Best K-pop Songs of 2019" in many magazines, such as Billboard, Dazed and South China Morning Post.
"Super M-The first Mini Album" topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the first time, making them the first Korean singer to top the list on their first album. It also topped the Billboard US World Albums chart.
4, MONSTA X
MONSTA X submitted nominations for their song "Someone&39;s Someone" under the categories of "Best Music Video", "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance", "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year".
They also submitted their sixth studio album "All About Luv" under the categories of "Best Pop Vocal Album" and "Album of the Year". They and the "LOVE U" album in Montana, France also submitted the nomination for "Non-Classical Music Producer of the Year".
"All About Luv" ranked fifth on the Billboard 200 rankings in the United States. This is the first time that MONSTA X has appeared on the Billboard 200, and it is the highest ranking in the K-pop combination after BTS and SuperM. Ranked third on the best album sales charts in the United States, Billboard named it one of the 50 best albums in 2020.
It seems that for this Grammy Awards, there are not many K-Pop groups that can submit nominations. After all, it is not easy to get high popularity in the world, and it takes a lot of effort. The girl group is probably BLACKPINK.
