"There are no traces of time. The three years of aid to Tibet really exist in my life, and it has become a precious memory that will never be forgotten." Jiang Wenxiong, a teacher at Jinfuyuan Primary School in Wujiang District, is the first elementary school teacher in our city to go to Tibet to teach. Slightly thin, he guards a short three-foot podium, passing the fire and love with practical actions.
In August 2013, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education issued a notice on selecting the first batch of 15 in-service teachers to teach in Tibet. "After learning the news at that time, I did not hesitate to sign up." He said. After many selections, Jiang Wenxiong finally stood out and became the first elementary school teacher in Shaoguan to go to Tibet to teach. On September 12, 2013, Jiang Wenxiong set foot on the mysterious and beautiful place of Nyingchi, Tibet. Altitude sickness became the first problem he faced. "When I got off the plane, I felt sore and weak when I walked a little faster." Jiang Wenxiong recalled. Subsequently, the discomfort of living habits and the difference in climate and temperature became stumbling blocks for Jiang Wenxiong to integrate into his new life, but he used strong perseverance to overcome them one by one.
Jiang Wenxiong said frankly that to support education in Tibet is not only a task for him, but also a mission. For this reason, Jiang Wenxiong did every job steadily, and kept his knowledge in Tibetan areas by actively carrying out business training, sending training and teaching. Jiang Wenxiong, whose family was not originally wealthy, helped the local children with love while teaching and educating others. Since November 2013, he has subsidized two Tibetan students from poverty-stricken families with a monthly living allowance of 300 yuan each in Linzhi County Complete Primary School. Under his advocacy, 12 of his classmates, friends, and previously taught students also joined the activities funded by love in the following three years.
Jiang Wenxiong's teaching support time should have ended in July 2014, but he still has a strong teaching support attitude, work enthusiasm and professional ability. In July of that year, after a strong request from the Nyingchi District Education and Sports Bureau and a letter to the Shaoguan Education Bureau for approval, Jiang Wenxiong continued to stay in Tibet for two years to support education. In August 2014, Jiang Wenxiong also persuaded his family to join his wife to go to Nyingchi, Tibet to support education, and continue to contribute to the development of education in Tibetan areas.
