Busan International Film Festival
Busan International Film Festival was founded in 1996. It is one of the most important film festivals in South Korea and Asia. It is supported by the Busan government , the film industry, and the corporate world. With funding, it is held in Busan, South Korea's second largest port city, from September to October each year.
The opening film of this festival is selected as the Kazakhstan version of the "Western" "The Horse Thief: The Path of Time" directed by Kazakhstan director Yerlan Nurmukhambetov. The closing film is the romance "To Yunhee " directed by Korean director Lin Dae-jung, Kim Heiye and Yuko Nakamura.
The main competition unit of this year’s Busan Film Festival, New Wave Awards, has 14 shortlisted works and three Chinese-language films: "The Train to Spring" (China) Director Li Ji, "The Long Waiting for the Fragrance of Jackfruit" (China Taiwan ) Director Liao Kefa/Chen Xuezhen, "Youth and the Sea" (China) director Sun Aoqian .

On October 12, the 24th Busan Film Festival came to an end, and the list of New Wave Awards was also announced. Vietnamese film "Skinny Boy" and Iraqi film "Haifa Street" won New Wave Awards, Best Male and Female of the Year The actors were awarded by KIM Junhyung and MUN Hye-in, the male and female starring actors of the Korean movie "Nurturing".
Chinese young director Huo Ning's work "Pull a Bowl of Noodles" won the Best Documentary Award, which is also the only Chinese film awarded at this Busan Film Festival. Director
