On Monday morning, under the leadership of Yu Wentao, deputy prosecutor of the Fourth Division, we rushed over the mountains and ridges from the Yizhao Highway, which is known as the second largest in Xinjiang, to the Zhaosu Reclamation District.
Zhaosu is a famous hometown of horses. Its history can be traced back to the Neolithic period in the ancient times 10,000 years ago. At that time, human beings thrived here and created a splendid ancient nomadic culture. There are more than 200 historical relics in the area, among which the most famous are the ancient city of Xiata, the ancient city of Poma, the stone man on the grassland, the cemetery of the princess Xijun of the Han Dynasty, the Geshan Mountain Monument, and the Shengyou Temple. In October 1997, the "Poma Ancient City Ruins", which caused a sensation in the archaeological world, was in the 74th Regiment of Zhaosu Reclamation Area, Fourth Division of Xinjiang Construction Corps on the border between China and Kazakhstan. When the mound was on the mound, a thousand-year-old tomb was bursting open. A gold mask inlaid with rubies, a jar with a gold lid inlaid with rubies, a scabbard inlaid with rubies and gold, a gold ring inlaid with rubies, and a gold cup with a tiger-shaped handle inlaid with red agate The single-ear silver vase with the wrong gold was born so gorgeously, but unfortunately the treasure was looted by the masses and the ancient tomb was completely destroyed. In fact, as early as 1976, the archaeological team of the Chinese Museum and the Xinjiang Museum had excavated these mound tombs, but nothing was gained. After the cultural relics protection department inspected the surroundings of the ancient tomb, they found an earthen city with a square shape. The east-west wall is 360 meters long, the wall is 3 to 4 meters high, and the width is 3 to 5 meters. There are gaps around the walls, and the gaps correspond to north and south. Named the ancient city of Poma or Mongolia, it is the largest and well-preserved ancient city site in the Tekes River Basin. There are some ancient tombs from the Warring States Period to the Western Han Dynasty around the city, more than 2,000 years ago. On July 23, 1999, the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region announced that it was a cultural relics protection unit in the autonomous region. However, for various reasons, the protection of the city wall is not in place.
We are bumpy all the way on the Yizhao Highway. The whole road is more than 140 miles, but because all the way is a cliff road opened on the mountain, the speed limit is 30, and the speed limit is 5 kilometers at sharp turns. Therefore, it takes 3 and a half hours. We just arrived at our destination. The Yizhao Highway is extremely beautiful. The alpine meadows and snow ridge spruce are especially beautiful under the blue sky and white clouds. Sometimes I see the snow mountains in the distance shining against the scorching sun, and flocks of cows flashing outside the window. Sheep, vigorous horses, and every corner of the mountain road rushed toward the same scenery. The girls and boys riding along the way were struggling to challenge themselves and left a deep impression on me. Due to the elevation and landing, our ears are often inaudible. At a sharp turn, our car was almost hit by a car coming from the opposite side, and we were so scared that we were always hanging in the air.
It was about 90 kilometers from Zhaosu Reclamation District to the ruins of the ancient city. It took about 2 and a half hours to drive. The sun was very dry and hot. The ruins were covered with weeds and protected monuments. There were no other effective protection measures. , The ancient city wall partially collapsed. There are traces of cultivation in the ancient city ruins. After investigation, there have been acts of planting wheat and rape. The herders even dug enough canals and built water silo, which caused damage to the ancient city ruins. In order to find out all the damage, we played the ancient city wall walking all the way, weeds stuck on the ankles, stinging and itchy, we must check after a few steps, take off those sticking to the socks, and the belts on the trousers. The thorny plant seeds and grass thorns, the entire site survey was completed, and the shoes were covered with grass clippings and a kind of unnamed plant seeds.
After collective research, we worked out a good work direction, communicated with the cultural heritage protection department in a timely manner, clarified the public interest litigation function of the procuratorial, and put forward clear requirements for the rectification of the procuratorial proposal. After full communication, the relevant departments recognized the importance and urgency of protecting the ancient city sites and stated that they would take immediate action to remove cultivated plants, establish supporting protection measures, strengthen the propaganda of Poma culture, and effectively protect the ancient Silk Road sites. In the afternoon of the same day, the group field sent two harvesters to clean up the plants planted in the ancient city wall.
When I returned to Yining, it was already half past nine. I saw the boys and girls holding bouquets on the road.My family realized that today is Qixi Festival, which is our traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day. I am a little apologetic when thinking of family members thousands of miles away, but after another thought, the prosecutor’s Qixi Festival is always like this.
