When cooking, he is a dedicated artist; when introducing dishes, his enthusiastic and attractive magnetic voice adds a layer of magic to the deliciousness, which is heart-warming.
Chef Steffen was born and raised in Görlitz in eastern Germany. He has been keen on baking cakes and other simple cooking since he was a child. Since he was a child, he likes gardening, which has also created his quick touch of ingredients. At the age of 18, he began to study and work as an apprentice in a professional restaurant kitchen, and then obtained a master's degree in culinary science from Baden Institute in Germany.
What surprises us is that Chef Steffen is not only exquisite in his cooking skills, but also proficient in the three languages of German, French and English. He has traveled all over Germany, France, the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) and Japan, and has worked in many places. Michelin restaurants and luxury hotels. Since joining the Ritz-Carlton Group in October 2012, Chef Steffen has served as the executive chef of the Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. Four years later, he officially joined the Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu as the executive chef.
