Liu Jie said that at that time, he wanted to wear a police uniform more than wearing white clothes. What Liu Jie didn't expect was that when he first joined the job in 2003, the contrast with reality gave him a blow to his complacency at the time. The working environment of a forensic doctor is not a clean and bright office, but a crime scene covered in bloodstains, filthy and smelly. What makes him even more sad is that many of his former friends avoid shaking hands with him, or even deliberately stay away from him, because of his profession. You can imagine the sense of loss.

They carried out a detailed inspection in all directions and without blind spots. They found residual hair on the door frame, blood spatter on the wall, and traces on the gas tank... …These seemingly inconspicuous details have become important evidence for them to restore the truth. After careful analysis, the trajectory of the deceased's movements at the time of the incident gradually emerged before Liu Jie's eyes.

"Based on the characteristics of the wounds on the corpse and the traces left at the scene, it can be determined that he committed arson after self-mutilation. In the end, we verified this inference through autopsy and visit investigation, thus ruling out the possibility of arson. "Except for the neighbor's suspicion of crime." Today, the 47-year-old Liu Jie, as one of the few police officers in the public security team with dual degrees in clinical medicine and forensic medicine, leads the team to issue more than 600 identification certificates every year, without any mistakes.
