On August 24, CNOOC announced that my country’s Bozhong 19-6 gas field, the first 100 billion square meters gas field in the Bohai Sea, has produced more than 10 billion natural gases in total. billion cubic meters, effectively ensuring the gas demand in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Bohai Rim regions.

Bozhong 19-6 gas field is located in the central Bohai Sea. The average water depth in the area is about 20 meters. The proven natural gas geological reserves exceed 200 billion cubic meters and the proven oil geological reserves exceed 200 billion cubic meters. It is the first large-scale, self-contained gas field of 100 billion square meters in eastern my country.

The gas field is developed according to the plan of “overall deployment, phased development, and testing first”. The test area and the first-phase development project will be put into production in October 2020 and November 2023 respectively. At present, 6 offshore oil and gas platforms have been built, with peak daily natural gas production reaching 2.4 million cubic meters, and production capacity construction has entered a stage of rapid growth.
