On July 12, the people on the "Jingchu Model" list for the second quarter of 2024 were announced. Qiu Jianjun, deputy director of the Hanxing Street Hanxing Police Station of the Jianghan District Branch of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau and a fourth-level senior police sergeant from Wuhan, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Leng Wenjun, the group's chief expert and deputy chief engineer of a national scientific research institute, and Tu Manming, deputy chief engineer of China Railway Bridge Bureau, chief engineer of the design branch, and expert of the National Key Laboratory of Bridge Intelligence and Green Construction, were on the list.
"Jingchu Model" is recommended by various departments across the province and reviewed by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee.
Qiu Jianjun, during his lifetime, was the deputy director of the Hanxing Police Station on Hanxing Street, Jianghan District Branch of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau and a fourth-level senior police sergeant. He was an outstanding grassroots policeman who was dedicated to his duties and was not afraid of sacrifice. In his 30 years as a police officer, he participated in solving more than 1,800 criminal cases of various types and arrested 2,300 suspects. In the early morning of June 1, 2024, he led a team to deal with a knife-wielding police incident. In order to protect the lives of the people at the scene and his comrades, he fought to the death with the knife-wielding gangster. He was stabbed 15 times and still pursued him hard. He died heroically due to his injuries. Only 50 years old. "People's Daily", CCTV and other hundreds of media focused on reporting that the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government posthumously awarded him an "outstanding Communist Party member" and "advanced worker" in Wuhan City, calling on him to learn from Comrade Qiu Jianjun. He has excelled in the civil service annual assessment 7 times, and was awarded the third-class individual merit in the civil service annual assessment once and 6 commendations, and the third-class individual merit in the public security agency 2 times and 6 commendations.
Leng Wenjun, currently the chief expert of China State Shipbuilding Corporation and the deputy chief engineer of a national scientific research institute, is a ship designer who overcomes difficult problems. He is committed to my country's equipment research and development, devoting all his energy to scientific research and technical management, and presiding over the completion of the overall design and technical research of multiple types of products. Over many years, he led the team to make important contributions to the generation of new maritime combat capabilities. He has won honors such as the Second National Innovation Award, Special Government Allowance from the State Council, Hubei Provincial Model Worker, and Wuhan Model. He has won more than 10 science and technology awards at the provincial and ministerial level or above, more than 20 patents have been authorized and accepted, and he has published more than 30 papers in top journals.
Tu Manming is currently the deputy chief engineer of China Railway Bridge Bureau, chief engineer of the design branch, an expert in the National Key Laboratory of Bridge Intelligence and Green Construction, and an innovative and pioneering bridge design engineer. He has presided over the research, design and scientific research of construction plans of more than 50 bridges and other key engineering projects. He has won 6 provincial and ministerial level special prizes for scientific and technological progress and 13 first prizes. He has more than 100 signed invention patents and has led the team to solve problems. We have faced technical difficulties in the construction of world-class projects such as Tianxingzhou Bridge, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Shanghai-Suton Bridge, Padma Bridge, and Lancang River Bridge. Many of the technologies developed have been identified as world-leading.
