In November last year, the "black money" scandal was exposed within the Liberal Democratic Party. Several factions of the Liberal Democratic Party were exposed as issuing sales quotas to their affiliated members of Congress, requiring them to sell tickets for political fundraising parties. If sales quotas are exceeded, the excess funds will be returned to legislators in the form of "kickbacks." This part of the funds will not be registered in the factional income and expenditure reports and the parliamentary political fund income and expenditure reports, thus becoming unregulated secret funds. The "black gold" scandal continues to ferment, and factions such as the "Kishida Faction", "Abe Faction" and "Second Order Faction" of the Liberal Democratic Party have been disbanded, and the support rate of Kishida's cabinet continues to be low.
