Mainland actor Hu Ge visited Taiwan again after 6 years. Today (12th) he had a dialogue full of inspiration and enlightenment with young Taiwanese creators. Hu Ge shared his rich experience in the film and television industry, and also injected persistence and enthusiasm into young directors. He encouraged young creators to stick to their dreams and be passionate about the industry even if the process is hard.
Hu Ge, who rose to prominence in his early years with the TV series "Legend of Sword and Fairy", has been in the industry for 21 years. His representative works include "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", "Lang Ya Bang", "The Pretender", etc. Recently, he once again reached the peak of popularity in the TV series directed by Wong Kar-wai, and is deeply loved by audiences on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. When talking about the experience of filming "Flowers" with director Wong Kar-wai, Hu Ge said that director Wong Kar-wai's shooting style is very detailed and layered, and his lens language, image aesthetics and narrative skills are all admirable. Hu Ge also thanked director Wong Kar-Wai for capturing the warmest, memorable and carefree childhood in Shanghai. As for the private delicacies recommended in the play, Hu Ge recommends soup rice. “Put the leftover rice from last night and soak it in boiling water the next day. It was the most common breakfast when I was a child, and then add it with a side dish. It’s simple and delicious. ."
This time Hu Ge shared his experience in filming his new movie "Stop and Go", challenging the role image of older, crispy young people, which amazed the young directors present. This film is Hu Ge’s third collaboration with a young director. He happily shouted to the Taiwanese youth at the scene, “If you have a good script, you must come to me. I’m cheap and easy to use.” The whole audience laughed.
The young director present asked: "When we meet young directors, our vision and level may be different from yours. How will you communicate?" Hu Ge said: "When working with young creators, I don't feel that I am senior. I feel that I am very young. I don’t think that young creators have no vision. Sometimes I feel that they have more vision. Recently, I have worked with young directors who are making feature films for the first time, and I have learned a lot from them, which has benefited me a lot. "
was asked by an acting student: "Can Hu Ge give advice to student actors on how to feel life and better integrate into and interpret the role?" Hu Ge said: "I don't use my identity as an actor to feel life. I would drive out and observe passers-by to see how they live, their expressions, their status, etc.”
From the screen character to the real presentation, Hu Ge’s charm and affinity deeply infected everyone present. This event is not only an in-depth discussion of film art, but also a collision of inspirations between two generations of filmmakers. Hu Ge and young creators jointly praised the event and encouraged them to participate in various youth film festivals to increase their creative experience, meet more like-minded filming partners, and jointly create more glory for the Chinese film and television industry.
