Public information shows that Fu Bao was born in South Korea’s Samsung Everland on July 20, 2020. His mother is Aibao, a giant panda in Korea (named in China: Hua Ni), and his father is Lebao, a giant panda in Korea (named in China: Yuanxin). This is the second cub born overseas after the Netherlands in 2020, and it is also the first cub born in Korea.
On July 7 this year, Fubao's mother, Aibao, gave birth to a pair of female cubs (below), the first pair of giant panda cubs born overseas this year, and the first pair of giant panda twins born in Korea. The eldest was born at 4:52 and weighed 180 grams; the second was born at 6:39 and weighed 140 grams. At present, the mother and daughter are safe and the two cubs are in good health.
