This event is hosted by China Go Association . It is currently one of the highest-standard professional Go events in China. The top 33 players in the national ranking are eligible to participate. Among them, , Ding Hao, , the champion of the last Great Chess Players Tournament, entered the final directly, and the remaining 32 players decided the challenger by single-elimination.
According to the competition rules, the competition will first be held in Beijing and Hangzhou from October 8th to October 10th in the form of online competitions, resulting in the top eight. From November 17th to November 24th, the quarter-finals will be held in Shenzhen to determine the challenger.
