Although "Me and My Motherland" is based on major historical events, its entry point is very clever-it focuses on "me", Qianqian You, me, and him among thousands of ordinary people use the "me" story in the great history to tell the story of that period, and realize the resonance between the individual and the grand era.

"Encounter" is based on this background, and Zhang Yibai, who has always been good at emotional drama, selected the encounter of a pair of lovers to reflect this historical node.
Gao Yuan is a scientific researcher of the "two bombs and one satellite" project. Many viewers may not know that the "two bombs and one star" project was besieged and blocked by the Western camp led by the United States. Patriot talents studying abroad like Qian Xuesen were able to return to China after experiencing numerous difficulties. Therefore, this project was carried out in a top-secret environment, and many scientific researchers had left their homes and kept their names in secret.

Gao Yuan is the same, he left his beloved girlfriend Fang Min without leaving any message. In an experiment, because of the leakage of raw materials, Gao Yuan took the risk to close the valve and encountered severe radiation. The time left was running out. One day, he left the hospital to take a bus and ran into his girlfriend who had been away for three years. Although he was wearing a mask, his girlfriend recognized him at a glance. She asked him why there was no message in three years, and he could only answer her, "I don't know you." Not only because the project is top secret, but also because he doesn't have much time and doesn't want to delay her.
And at this moment, the bus was full of gongs and drums, China's first atomic bomb was successfully detonated, and Gao Yuan's sacrifice finally had a good result. He and Fang Min were dispersed by the crowd, and from a distance, he finally took off his mask. He met Fang Min, and this became their last side. More than ten years later, Fang Min saw lofty vision in the news. Many people, like him, made contributions to the national defense cause of the motherland and even gave their precious lives.
"Encounter" is not fabricated, it also has prototypes behind it. Although Zhang Yibai did not make this story too "lyrical", it is still touching.
