Starting from the school team, Zhuo Jiapeng embarked on the journey of skills competition. In 2020, he "passed all the way" and won the championship of the first national skills competition and entered the Chinese training team. However, the 46th WorldSkills Competition originally scheduled to be held in 2021 was postponed for one year due to various factors such as the epidemic, and the industrial design technology project was canceled.

Zhuo Jiapeng: At that time, I felt like the sky was about to fall. I have been preparing for it for three or four years. It is a very important thing in my life. But it suddenly disappeared. What should I do in the future? Teacher Huang was my class teacher. He knew that I was very unhappy during that time, so he took me hiking and swimming. After graduating in 2022, Zhuo Jiapeng chose to stay at the school to teach.

In 2024, the 47th World Skills Competition will resume the industrial design technology project and launch the selection competition in Shanghai. Zhuo Jiapeng returned to the competition and won the first place in the trials, and got a ticket to the French finals. He became the first player from the Chinese delegation to participate in this event and won the gold medal in one fell swoop.
