My major in university is Vietnamese. After graduation, I came to work in the railway. Currently, I take the Nanning East to Shanghai Hongqiao Intersection. This route passes through tourist cities such as Guilin, Changsha, Nanchang, and Hangzhou. At work, I give full play to my foreign language expertise and use Vietnamese to help foreign passengers solve their questions and difficulties when traveling by bus.

This summer, "china travel" has become popular, and more foreign tourists have taken the bus during the summer travel period.

Some time ago, I met a Vietnamese passenger on the train. She was anxiously gesturing with her ID. When I learned that she was from Vietnam, I quickly asked her what she wanted in Vietnamese.

When she heard the familiar language, she began to calm down and told me that she came to China to visit relatives, but it was her first time to take a train, and she didn't know Chinese and was worried about passing the station. I reassured her to sit down and told her we would be sure to remind her to get out of the car. After arriving at the station, this Vietnamese passenger deliberately found me on the platform, held my hand and said: "cảm ơn! cảm ơn! (Thank you)"

Maybe it was just a simple communication, a greeting, a reminder, but it was She solved the imminent problem and made her feel the warmth of China Railway.

Dongxing City Station is the "Guomen Station" and the closest high-speed rail station to Vietnam. Many Vietnamese passengers travel here. This summer transportation is the first since Dongxing City Station opened its doors to welcome passengers. I use the Vietnamese I learned in college and use practical actions at work to provide warm railway services to passengers at home and abroad.

Recently, the demand for travel by Vietnamese tourists has increased. We have seized the opportunity of summer border travel and cross-border travel, continuously increased our marketing efforts, and proactively provided services such as home delivery of tickets.

While improving the “hard power” of marketing, we also continue to improve “soft services”. Once, before the train departed, I started to close the door from the waiting room to the platform as required. Soon after, three Vietnamese passengers came slowly. When they were told that the train had stopped checking tickets, they became anxious.

It turns out that there is a one-hour time difference between the local time in Vietnam and Beijing time. They looked at the Vietnamese time before crossing the port. In fact, it was too late to get on the bus when they crossed the port. So, I comforted them in Vietnamese, and quickly helped them change their sign to another train, and finally helped them board the train to Nanning smoothly.

The advantage of language allows me to understand passengers’ demands faster and better. Sometimes just a few short conversations can make anxious foreign tourists feel more at ease and make their trip to China experience better.

My English is actually practiced abroad. In the early years, I worked and studied in the United States for a period of time, so I developed a standard and fluent English. In February this year, I was transferred from Yangshuo Station to Sanjiang South Station. This is my first summer vacation in my new position, but different positions have similar experiences.

Just like the eight years I worked at Yangshuo Station, I often communicate with foreign tourists who come to travel, and use my rest time to have an in-depth understanding of the surrounding transportation, attractions, hotels and various folk activities. It is easy to translate in English. Introduction and made into a "treasure book" of English services.

In my opinion, learning one more language means one more skill, and you will appear more professional when facing tourists from all over the world.I hope I can introduce the beautiful mountains and waters of Guangxi to them in English and bring a better travel experience to tourists!

After graduating from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, I went to Japan for graduate school. During my study and life there, after continuous practice, I gradually became able to use it fluently. Communicate in Japanese and complete related studies.

In 2022, after graduating from school, I came to Nanning Depot and became a vehicle fitter, engaged in bus maintenance related work.

During this summer season, in order to meet the travel needs of passengers, the railway department has opened additional passenger trains. For us, it is particularly important to repair the trains quickly and provide high-quality trains for railway transportation.

Our workshop technical research team is working on a technical maintenance problem. When looking up relevant information, because it involves Japanese content, I am fortunate to be one of them and participate in it. During the research process, I used what I learned to translate technical information accurately, which greatly improved the efficiency of research.

In the future, I will continue to uphold the enthusiasm for learning, integrate what I have learned into railway work, and give full play to my light and heat.
