This action follows a major privacy protection feature introduced by Apple in the iOS 18 beta version, namely the "Lock and Hide App" function. This new feature marks a solid step taken by Apple to strengthen user privacy protection and provides a more powerful tool for protecting users' private space.

Specifically, users can easily lock and hide mobile applications through face ID or touch ID technology. Simply long press the application icon you want to lock and select the corresponding verification method (face id or touch id) to add a security lock to the application. After that, any unauthorized access attempts will be blocked, effectively curbing the risk of leakage of personal privacy information.

Even more considerately, iOS 18 also introduces the application hiding function, which allows users to hide applications that they do not want to be easily discovered by others in a special locked folder. Not only will these hidden applications not be visible on the phone's home screen or app library, but notification information will also be blocked, ensuring that users' privacy is fully protected. Of course, users can still retrieve and access these hidden applications in the "app resource library" through specific paths, maintaining convenience of use.
