At the opening concert, guests from Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, Central Academy of Drama, North China Electric Power University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Minzu University of China, Capital Normal University, Beijing International Studies University, China Conservatory of Music, Teachers and students from more than ten universities, including the China Academy of Opera and Beijing Film Academy, demonstrated the diversity of traditional Chinese national music through four chapters: "Artistic Inheritance", "Song of Youth", "Beijing Movement" and "New Rhythm of Music". culture and long history, the vitality and youthful appearance of college students, the cultural heritage and urban customs of Beijing’s ancient capital, the integration and innovation of modern music and traditional culture.

Soprano Wu Bixia, the promotion ambassador of this Beijing University Student Music Festival, director of the Vocal Opera Department of the China Conservatory of Music, performed two pieces of "Celege" and "Guanghan Palace". At the end of the performance, all the actors sang the theme song of this music festival "You and Me Chasing Dreams" together.
