China News Service, Zhengzhou, July 2 (Wang Yu) On July 2, as a 2024 artistic talent training funding project of the National Arts Fund, the opening ceremony of the Henan Opera Music Youth Creative Talent Training was held in Zhengzhou. After expert review and approval by the National Arts Fund Management Center, 20 young musical talents from Henan Opera were selected for this training class.

This training for young creative talents in Henan Opera music aims to provide a professional learning platform for young creative talents in Henan Opera music, help them improve their artistic creation abilities, and inject new vitality into the development of Henan Opera music. These trainees came from 14 prefectures and cities in 5 provinces, Henan, Hebei, Hubei, Shanxi, and Shaanxi, and studied at the Henan Yu Theater from July 2 to August 2.
In order to improve the quality of training, Henan Yu Theater specially invited a group of artists and experts with rich experience and outstanding achievements in the field of Henan Opera. Among them are Zuo Qiwei, Zhao Guoan, Li Hongquan, Fang Kejie, Tang Qihe and other big names in the Henan opera music industry, as well as Li Xia, Yao Jincheng, Liu Jingliang, Wang Jiucheng, Zhang Ping and other famous figures in the Henan opera industry. Well-known experts such as Sun Yinlong, Li Jianqin, and Lu Yi have been deeply involved in Henan opera for a long time.
At the opening ceremony, Ding Jianying, director of Henan Yu Theater, introduced the origin and development of Henan Opera. Li Shujian, vice chairman of the Chinese Theater Association, chairman of the Henan Theater Association, and honorary director of the Henan Yu Theater, said in his speech that we must always be indispensable. The tune is not old, and the tune is not new. There is the old in the new, and there is the new in the old. The new is not separated from the old, and the old is not separated from the old. Each piece of singing must have both traditional and innovative elements. It must be upright and innovative, and use the rules of the ancients to create its own identity.
