At the end of May, with the release of BYD fifth-generation DM technology, BYD's two new cars were also launched simultaneously. These two cars are BYD Qin l dm-i and seal 06 dm-i.
The above two models are equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology. Officials claim that the power consumption of Qin L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i has entered the prefix "2". In other words, even when the battery is running low, the fuel consumption of these two cars can be kept within 30%, and the pure electric cruising range on full fuel and full battery exceeds 2,000 kilometers.
Not to mention, as a plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan, the starting price of Qinl DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i is set at 99,800 yuan.
There is no doubt that BYD's move will set off a bloody storm for domestic mid-sized cars. Why do you say this?
Because before Qinl DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i were launched, BYD Qin plus had already relied on the advantage of "lower oil than electricity" to successfully surpass Nissan Sylphy and Volkswagen Lavida . This model has long occupied the top spot in the domestic sedan sales list and has become the new “sedan sales king.”
So we have reason to believe that Qinl dm-i and Seal 06 dm-i will continue the glory created by Qin plus and change the domestic mid-size sedan market structure.
Just recently, the cumulative order volume of Qinl DM-i has effectively increased to 1 million units, while the order volume of Seal 06 DM-i is 900,000 units, which sounds very scary. You must know that this car has only been on the market for half a month. If the total number of orders is indeed as rumored and has received 1.9 million units, it will really create a myth of domestic car sales.
Regarding the rumors about the order volume of Qinl DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i, BYD’s official statement is that the order volume is indeed large.
According to Che Kuai Ping, it is unlikely that the rumored order volume will exceed 1 million units, but the large number of orders stated by BYD officials is definitely true. For BYD today, it may no longer be interested in bragging about its order volume. It is meaningless.
The popularity of BYD Qin L DM-i has not yet passed. The application information of another BYD model equipped with fifth-generation DM technology has been exposed online, namely BYD Song L DM-i.
Judging from the application pictures, the overall design style of Song L DM-i is very close to the pure electric version of Song L. Because it is not a pure electric model, it does not adopt a closed front face design. The side of the body adopts a fastback shape, is equipped with hidden door handles, and has privacy glass in the rear. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4780/1898/1670 mm, and the wheelbase is 278 mm, which is shorter than the Song L pure electric version.
In terms of power, Song L DM-i will be equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 74 kilowatts. Depending on the model, it will be equipped with battery packs of different capacities. The pure electric cruising range is 91 kilometers and 128 kilometers respectively, and the minimum fuel consumption is 4.95 liters.
Judging from the currently known information, Song L DM-i is very likely to be officially launched next month, with a starting price of about 130,000 yuan. Let us wait and see what impact the Song LM-I will have on the domestic SUV market.
