He climbed over the highway guardrail, went around from the opposite side to the front of the collapse and knelt down to stop the vehicle from moving forward.
After the oncoming car suddenly braked, the driver rolled down the window and shouted to Huang Jiandu: "You don't want your life!" Huang Jiandu looked up and saw a man in his 30s. Huang Jiandu said: "I don't care what you say. , but you can't go any further, there's a landslide in front of you!"
The man suddenly stopped. A woman got out of the car quickly. She looked at Huang Jiandu, then walked forward and looked around - there was a dark "road" ahead, with rising fog in the depressions, and some falling objects. The car was on fire. A spark. “Afterwards, my wife asked me, was this going to kill my dad?” On the afternoon of May 3, Huang Jiandu’s son-in-law Rao Zhen told Red Star According to a news reporter, when he saw the landslide in front of him, he climbed up to the guardrail and raised his mobile phone flashlight, beckoning the vehicles ahead to stop, but to no avail.
But it was his move that "driven" his father-in-law Huang Jiandu to take the more "adventurous" action of forcing the vehicle to stop. Rao Jin said: "The tragedy has happened. What we can do is to reduce the losses and injuries."
According to Rao Jin, he, his wife and two children usually work and live in Shenzhen. They are accompanied by their mother. As well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, but his father usually lives in his hometown in Qingxi Town. "My father-in-law and my father-in-law have not seen each other for two years, and they came back to reunite during the May Day holiday."
Rao Jin recalled to reporters that at 7:30 pm on April 30, he drove a 7-seater commercial vehicle. Including himself, the car carried 7 people on the expressway return from Longgang, Shenzhen. "Subconsciously, I thought it was a newly repaired asphalt road, and there might be water on it." Thinking like this, Rao Jin took advantage of the situation and accelerated the car towards the fast lane. "Bang! Bang!" With the violent impact, the family members woke up, and her mother asked: "What's wrong? Did you doze off?" Rao Zhen said: "Mom, I didn't doze off, I just turned around in an emergency. "Bend."
After the car continued to move forward for about 300 meters, he realized something was wrong, and Rao Jin stopped the car between the emergency lane and the express lane. Before

"We were also worried, so we stayed back and continued to turn on the flashlight to signal the car to stop." Rao Zhen said, but the effect was not good. Then, he climbed to the middle guardrail of the collapse and continued to wave the flashlight of his mobile phone.
"I am 1.73 meters tall and my target is relatively obvious, but I still can't stop the vehicle from moving forward." Rao Jin recalled that at that time, a vehicle noticed his move and clicked on the brakes to slow down, but had no real intention to stop.

Huang Jiandu is less than 1.7 meters tall. Compared with Rao Jin, his effect of shaking his mobile phone to stop the vehicle from moving forward is even less effective. Finally, he simply climbed over the guardrail, bypassed the landslide from the other side of the highway, and then returned to the side of the landslide to stop the vehicle from moving forward.

There were electric cars catching fire sporadically, but the car directly in front continued to run towards the landslide without any knowledge.
In desperation, Huang Jiandu stood in the middle of the highway and knelt down to force the moving vehicles to stop. "Only when I kneel down will someone stop." Huang Jiandu said.
