At the Longchang Power Supply Branch of the State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company, 29-year-old Zhang Xin has a baby face and wears work clothes like an apprentice worker. Who would have thought that after only 7 years of working, he has grown to be the monitor of the company's measurement class. Not only has he signed a mentoring contract with three new employees, he has also been hired as a visiting professor by a vocational school. On the eve of this year's May Day, Zhang Xin was awarded the National May Day Labor Medal, becoming the only individual in Neijiang City to receive this honor.

Summarizes common safety hazards to provide reference for new employees
Zhang Xin is from Weiyuan, Sichuan. After graduating from university in 2017, he joined Longchang Power Supply work in company. At the beginning of
, he was mainly responsible for electricity inspection. It stands to reason that if you provide door-to-door services to enterprises and if you discover safety hazards, you will promptly inform users on how to rectify them, that would be considered a completion of the job. However, Zhang Xin did one more thing than his colleagues. He summarized the handling methods and rectification measures for hundreds of common safety hazards and compiled them into courseware with pictures to provide a reference for new employees to standardize their work.
Later, Zhang Xin entered the electricity inspection and anti-theft class, and used his more serious habits in anti-theft and illegal work.
"I remember once inspecting a private brick factory. The customer was a large industrial consumer, but they changed the capacity of the transformer privately. The casing was 400kva but no one noticed this problem." Monitor of the electricity inspection and anti-theft squad Chen Gang recalled. When
was leaving, he happened to pass by the transformer. The attentive Zhang Xin found clues through the wiring pile outside the transformer and speculated that the user had replaced the internal parts of the transformer through technical means. Using professional equipment, it was found that, sure enough, the capacity inside was changed to 800kva, doubling the capacity. Doing so not only disrupts the normal order of electricity consumption, but also poses a safety hazard.
Through continuous accumulation, Zhang Xin summarized the common electricity theft techniques and investigation methods in the market, which provided strong technical support for the company's anti-theft and investigation work.

self-made module replacement tools to reduce labor intensity and improve efficiency
Zhang Xin’s metering class is responsible for the replacement of electric meters for all residents and industrial and commercial enterprises in Longchang City. Operation and maintenance, handling defects, etc.
In 2021, Zhang Xin found that every time he repaired or upgraded the meter module, replacing the module was a particularly difficult task. Because the module contact surface is very small, everyone uses their fingers to carefully take it out and replace it. Sometimes hundreds of modules have to be replaced in a day. Many colleagues' fingers are stiff, and some are even worn and injured.
Seeing this situation, Zhang Xin, who loves to study, used the principle of leverage to make a mechanical arm similar to fingers, which impressed everyone. This tool is similar to the clamps used to pick up hot bowls in daily life. It is only 10-15 cm long. The gripper on the front is very thin and can reach into the gap. After clamping the module, it comes out with a gentle lift!
is an auxiliary device for replacing electric energy metering modules, which greatly reduces the labor intensity of on-site personnel and improves work efficiency. It is not only labor-saving, but also lightweight and can be taken away in an electrician's bag.
When inspecting lossy lines, Zhang Xin also creatively invented a segmented line management method, which saved time and improved quality and efficiency. The annual line loss was reduced by 830,000 kilowatt hours.
loves challenges
is not afraid of failure and devotes himself to training to shine in industry competitions
The characteristics of young people who love challenges and refuse to admit defeat are most vividly reflected in Zhang Xin. In 2019, the Sichuan Electric Power Company held the second Skills Rising Star Competition. He liked challenges and took the initiative to sign up and participated in the competition on behalf of the State Grid Neijiang Power Supply Company. However, unfortunately, as an employee majoring in power marketing, he was unable to install meters in his own industry. There was a problem with the power connection, and we ended up missing the top six. Facing the defeat in the game, Zhang Xin was not disappointed and secretly vowed to show his strength in future games. After
returned to the company, he used his spare time to practice with great concentration."After others practiced a few times, I would come back and practice harder, learn from their strengths, improve my own shortcomings, and progress would be accumulated in training after training." Zhang Xin often learned from experienced teachers, and finally practiced The unique skill of installing a watch and connecting electricity with one hand.
In 2020, Zhang Xin won the first place in the 4th Sichuan Province Electric Power Industry Vocational Skills Competition and won the first place in the meter installation and connection electrician major.
Over the years, Zhang Xin has won honors such as the 2020 Sichuan Provincial Technical Expert, the Sichuan Provincial May 1st Labor Medal, and Neijiang City's "Top Ten Sweet City Craftsmen". Zhang Xin said that receiving the National May Day Labor Medal this time is both an honor and a responsibility. In future work, he will continue to base himself on his position, demand himself with higher standards, and continuously improve his skills. At the same time, we will also share and exchange work experience with colleagues, make progress together, and contribute more to the development of the electric power industry.
