There is a nation
called the "Nation of Knives"
As early as the Ming Dynasty
they began to forge this legend
Every hammering and every quenching
Let every knife have a story behind it
or something about bravery
or Stories about perseverance or about inheritance
As the flames rise
The clanging sound of cast iron resounds in the sky
The ninth stop of the Yunnan Heritage Tour
We came to Husa Township, Longchuan County, Dehong Prefecture
Here is a
"Rou Ke The myth that "you can cut iron by twisting your fingers"
comes from the fire of the Husa swordsmith of the Achang ethnic group
which has been passed down for more than 600 years. After hundreds of years of repeated hard work, the Achang people brought their Husa sword
and left behind one after another
unparalleled legends of overcoming obstacles.
The forging skills of the Achang people's Husa sword have been spread in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture. Husa Township in Longchuan County has a history of more than 600 years. Since the Ming Dynasty, the Achang people have begun to make swords on a large scale. In the 1990s, the Husa Nine-Dragon Sword became the ceremonial symbol of the honor guard of the Chinese armed forces, representing the powerful and majestic image of the country.
The lives of Achang people are inseparable from the Husaka knife, and the Husaka knife is the business card of the Achang people. Therefore, the Achang people are also known as the nation of swords. To turn a piece of steel into a sharp Husa knife, it needs to go through more than ten processes such as material selection, cutting, forging the preliminary embryo, trimming the embryo, grinding, quenching, polishing, carving, sheathing, and edge cutting. It is completely made by Finished by hand.
In 2006, the sword forging skills of Achang households were approved by the State Council and included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists. Nowadays, there are many kinds of Husha knives with various functions. Now they have developed into three categories: production tools, daily necessities and decorative handicrafts, with more than 120 kinds. The Achang people, who have no written language, pass down the forging know-how of the Husaka sword from generation to generation through words and deeds. The swordsmen seem to have a wordless heavenly book stored in their hearts, making every Husa knife unique and out-of-print.
In 2006,
Dehong local traditional folk literature
telling the epic story of the Achang people
Zhepa Ma and Zhemi Ma
were included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list
along with the Husa knife forging skills.
Achang Nationality
This brave and tenacious nation
The hoe and the plow turned the sword into the edge
History has long left the whereabouts of the knights with swords to the end of the world
and the cold weapon era of swords and swords
in the distant memory
The Husa sword is no longer a weapon now

carrying the precious national spirit
inheriting the wisdom of the predecessors and passing on the youth for generations.
