China International New Media Short Film Festival (English name is china international new media short film festival, referred to as csff) is sponsored by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, Shenzhen Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Shenzhen Guangming District People's Government , the only national-level and international short film festival in China hosted by Shenzhen Radio, Film and Television Group. Its founding purpose is to encourage the creation of outstanding new media short films at home and abroad, discover and support film and television creative talents, incubate high-quality film and television creative projects, and promote film and television and new media. Industrial integration and development promote international cultural exchanges and cooperation.
After more than ten years of development, the Short Film Festival has become one of the important international short film festivals unanimously recognized by the industry at home and abroad. It has been selected as a Shenzhen City Cultural Menu Project, Shenzhen’s key project to participate in the “Belt and Road” construction, and Shenzhen’s “Creative December” Key projects.
In 2019, the China International New Media Short Film Festival permanently settled in Guangming District. It is one of the top ten cultural brands in Guangming District and has become an important cultural business card of Guangming District.

In November 2021, after successfully holding 11 sessions, the China International New Media Short Film Festival officially joined the International Short Film Alliance and became a member unit. As one of the members of the International Short Film Alliance, representatives of the China Short Film Festival not only attended the annual meeting to fulfill their membership responsibilities, but also participated in the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France for learning and exchange. The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France was founded in 1979.
