On the Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the first lunar month (February 24), Guangzhou will usher in a feast of Beijing charm and beauty! The "2024 Guangzhou Concert of Famous Peking Opera Masters" will be held at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, a historical and cultural landmark in Guangzhou. This concert will bring together leading figures from many genres in the Peking Opera world, bringing classic Peking Opera pieces into the eyes of the Guangzhou audience, and demonstrating the unique charm and artistic charm of Peking Opera.
Peking Opera is a representative of traditional Chinese opera art and has rich historical and cultural connotations. Its unique performance forms of singing, chanting, acting and playing, as well as its rich and colorful opera tunes, are deeply loved by the audience. This concert will present classic pieces from Peking Opera, allowing the audience to appreciate the essence of Peking Opera art through superb acting skills and beautiful and moving singing. The organizer of the
concert has carefully arranged this artistic feast. Well-known artists from the National Peking Opera Company, Beijing Peking Opera Company, Tianjin Peking Opera Company and other troupes will jointly present classic Peking Opera plays, such as "The Orphan of Zhao", "Farewell My Concubine", " "Red Lantern" etc. Leading figures of various schools of Peking Opera, such as Meng Guanglu of the Qiu School, Wang Rongrong of the Zhang School, Yuan Huiqin of the Laodan School, Li Haiyan of the Cheng School, Zhu Qiang of the Peking Opera, Wang Yan of the Mei School, Song Xiaochuan of the Ye School, and other artists will perform in person. It will bring superb performances to the venue, allowing the audience to enjoy the splendid chapter of Peking Opera art.
This concert is not only a concentrated display of various schools of Peking Opera art, but also an ingenious combination of Peking Opera traditional culture and modern stage art. The performance process will be fully integrated with modern stage design and lighting effects, and through innovative stage presentations, the audience will enjoy both visual and auditory enjoyment while enjoying the classic plays.
