In the past period of time, the Kuomintang has repeatedly called on the People's Party candidate Ke Wenzhe to cooperate in order to concentrate votes and remove the Democratic Progressive Party. However, Ke Wenzhe has always had a tough attitude towards the Kuomintang's proposals and has no intention of cooperating with the Kuomintang. Not only that, Ke Wenzhe even attacked Hou Kangpei many times. Based on this situation, during the countdown to the election, the Kuomintang also began to change its strategy in an effort to minimize the risk of Ke Wenzhe disrupting the situation.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, Zhao Shaokang once again called out Ke Wenzhe recently. However, it is rare that this speech does not mean to continue to seek to concentrate votes. Zhao Shaokang only made a request to Ke Wenzhe, that is, he must make his attitude clear and not cooperate with the DPP after the election. Analysts believe that Zhao Shaokang's words actually reflect the Kuomintang's helpless mentality in the face of Ke Wenzhe, that is, it cannot win votes to support Ke Wenzhe, and it does not want these votes to flow to the DPP.
In this regard, Zhao Shaokang also explained that such a request has nothing to do with "abandoning the bail", but that Ke Wenzhe should not deceive the blue camp and then defraud the green camp. Because at the stage when the Blue and White camp was discussing cooperation, Ke Wenzhe was very supportive of delisting the DPP. If Ke Wenzhe turns to the green camp after the Blue and White alliance is broken, it can only mean that Ke Wenzhe has not sincerely cooperated with the Kuomintang from the beginning.
Over the past period of time, a large part of the reason why Ke Wenzhe has been at the bottom of various polls for a long time is that Ke Wenzhe does not have a clear route. From this perspective, Zhao Shaokang pointed out that Ke Wenzhe cannot deceive both blue and green, but it may have a certain impact on his supporters.
Of course, this does not mean that the Kuomintang will completely give up the votes of the Bai camp. In fact, on the day that Zhao Shaokang managed to avoid supporting Ke Wenzhe and his votes flowed to the Green Camp, Hou Youyi specifically issued an appeal to the supporters of the People’s Party. He emphasized that although the Blue and White alliance failed, everyone's original intention was the same, which was to remove the Democratic Progressive Party from the shelves. To achieve this goal, he called on supporters of Baiying to vote for Hou Kangpei.
In addition, Hou Youyi also said that he believed that many of Ke Wenzhe's opinions and views were not actually the original intentions of Ke Wenzhe and Bai Ying, but were only led astray by a small number of staff. Politics is not just about winning or losing elections, but more importantly, it requires actions to repay the people. Therefore, he called on supporters of Baiying not to waste their votes, but to provide support to Hou Kangpei. Only in this way can Taiwan have a better future.
Moreover, in a last-ditch effort to attract votes from the White camp, Hou Youyi quoted a particularly interesting saying: Although the Blue and White parties have failed to cooperate, voters who support Blue and White can cooperate with their votes.
But judging from Ke Wenzhe’s response, Hou Kangpei still did not get the answer he wanted. In response to Zhao Shaokang's call, Ke Wenzhe responded on the same day. In addition to once again accusing the KMT of not cooperating with the DPP, he also made it clear that the Kuomintang can cooperate regardless of color, whether blue or green.
It is worth noting that Ke Wenzhe has previously confessed, claiming that if he had to choose between the blue and green camps, the white one would only consider voting for the green camp, and there was no possibility of voting for the blue camp. So, Ke Wenzhe's rejection of Zhao Shaokang again may indicate that he no longer intends to pretend that he is green or has a green background.
However, Ke Wenzhe's statement does not mean that Lai Qingde can be "successfully sent". After all, not all of Ke Wenzhe’s supporters are green-leaning, and there are also many who want to delist the DPP. In other words, Ke Wenzhe's stated attitude is likely to divert supporters from the Bai camp and further make the election situation more confusing.
From Ke Wenzhe’s point of view, such a statement is obviously to maximize interests. After all, judging from various previous polls, Lai Xiaopei's support rate is not low. Therefore, in order to seek the maximum benefit for the People's Party, Ke Wenzhe naturally does not want to get too serious with anyone. But at the same time, Ke Wenzhe's speculative approach will indeed disappoint some voters in Ke Wenzhe and the People's Party. Moreover, the mainland has repeatedly emphasized that "Taiwan independence" means war. It is very dangerous for Ke Wenzhe to have an affair with Green Camp.
In short, the current election situation on the island is that the DPP has stopped pretending and wants to manipulate "Taiwan independence". This can also be seen from Lai Qingde’s recent announcement that he will continue Tsai Ing-wen’s line. The Kuomintang is slightly better, at least promising to promote the resumption of dialogue and negotiation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait if elected. But it is obvious that just promoting cross-Strait dialogue and consultation is not enough. Only when the two sides of the Strait are reunified can peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait be ensured, and the Taiwan region can have a prosperous future.
Therefore, no matter who is elected in the end, if you still have "Taiwan independence" ideas such as maintaining the status quo, you will definitely pay the price!
