In recent years, the phenomenon of campus bullying has become very prominent around the world, and it is also common in social news reports in our country.
The behavior of 14-year-old Fuzhou girl Wenwen (pseudonym) in the past few months has made her parents very worried.
From Pistachio to Silent
Wenwen was once an optimistic and cheerful girl with excellent grades and her own interests and hobbies. She was a "pistachio" in the eyes of teachers and parents.
After entering junior high school, she became emotionally unstable and often stayed alone in her room. Her concentration on studies declined, and she even became resistant to going to school.
Wenwen's parents tried various methods, but with little success, and even lost their temper because of it.
At the suggestion of others, they took Wenwen to the Psychiatric Department of the Children's Specialized Campus of Fuzhou First General Hospital (Fujian Fuzhou Children's Hospital) for treatment.
Psychotherapist Huang Ting learned about Wenwen's real troubles through psychological interviews and psychological grid .
It turns out that Wenwen tried to dissuade his classmates from a quarrel, but was misunderstood by everyone as being nosy. Afterwards, the classmates crowded out Wenwen.
Wenwen has lived with his grandparents since he was a child. His parents have only returned to his hometown in the past two years. Wenwen has lacked communication with his parents. After the incident, he did not know how to ask for help. He began to close himself off and had no intention of studying.
After the psychological counseling, Huang Ting provided social strategies for Wenwen, and jointly discussed the emotional catharsis plan . At the same time, she also guided Wenwen's parents how to better communicate with their children.
With Wenwen's self-change and the active cooperation of her family, she made new friends and became cheerful.
What is school bullying?
Campus bullying is called student bullying in the "Minor Protection Law" . The law stipulates that student bullying is "occurring between students, and one party intentionally or maliciously commits it through physical, verbal and network means. Bullying, insulting, and causing personal injury, property loss or mental damage to the other party."
