On December 30, the 2024 New Year's Day Lusheng Dance Competition was held at the Kerry Bay Happy World in Liuzhou City, Guangxi, "Building dreams together, the sound of 'Sheng' never stops". 139 Lusheng teams from Sanjiang, Rongshui, Guizhou and other places in Guangxi participated in the competition. Miao, Dong and other ethnic groups gathered together to play the Lusheng and dance cheerfully, and the loud music resounded throughout the sky. The reed is an ancient musical instrument loved by the Miao, Dong and Yao people in southwest China. Every local folk festival is celebrated by playing the reed.
