A forest fire broke out in Leye Village, Township, Alishan, Chiayi County, Taiwan on March 18. Li Dingzhong, deputy director of the Chiayi Forest Management Office in Taiwan, said that a fire alarm was received at 2:05 pm on March 18. Because the location of the fire was nearly 90 degrees steep, it was difficult for people to reach, and most of them were bamboo forests and grasslands.
