First of all, I sincerely thank the leaders and teachers and students of Tsinghua University for their trust in me, and allow me to serve as the dean of the Wudaokou School of Finance of Tsinghua University. Returning to the Daokou, I was full of emotions, and my thoughts were so many that I couldn't express myself, and they came together in one sentence: I feel honored, and I also deeply feel the responsibility.
Today's change of dean is a handover, but also a heritage. In the past seven years, with the full support of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University and the Party Committee of the People’s Bank of China, with the full support of all sectors of society and alumni, and under the direct leadership of Dean Wu Xiaoling, through the unremitting efforts of all teachers and students, the college has successfully It has completed the second entrepreneurship and has achieved fruitful results. It has now been engraved with distinctive Chinese characteristics, showing the Tsinghua style, and carrying forward the Wudaokou tradition, making it one of the best financial education institutions in the country.
Dean Xiaoling is one of the main advocates and promoters of China's financial system reform. She has held important leadership positions in the public sector for a long time. She has a long-term strategic vision and a strong belief in seeking truth and pragmatism. She has a solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience. . It is under her leadership that the college has continuously improved the top-level design and innovated the education management model, and has gradually grown into one of the best training bases for high-level financial talents in China. Undoubtedly, Dean Xiaoling contributed to the foundation and creation of the college’s work With countless hard work, made outstanding contributions. As an academic leader, Dean Xiaoling has always encouraged teachers and students to actively participate in the practice of financial reform, in-depth study of economic and financial issues, and lead financial practice with thought and action, and strive to contribute the wisdom and exploration of Tsinghua Wudaokou to the road of financial development with Chinese characteristics .
Dean Xiaoling is a pioneer in Wudaokou, and also my master sister. Over the years, she has devoted herself to the development of the college, caring for the growth of students, and trying her best to help alumni in their careers. The new administrative leadership team of the college has just completed its re-election. The more the career develops, the more severe the challenges, and our shoulders are full of heavy responsibilities. In my opinion, from excellence to excellence, what Tsinghua Wudaokou needs most is the continuous self-transcendence of all of us on the road to becoming a world-class financial institute.
The history of walking from Laowudaokou to Wudaokou of Tsinghua University is almost unmistakable. The future work of the college is also in the same line as the past efforts. As a historical witness and practitioner of promoting the reform and development of my country's financial system, Tsinghua Wudaokou is also an innovative position for modern Chinese financial thinking, academics and talent training. The history of China's financial reform and development will surely leave Tsinghua Wudaokou with a strong mark. Just now, Secretary Chen Xu put forward three hopes on behalf of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University. I think this blunt statement will become the direction of the Wudaokou School of Finance in the future. Next, under the leadership of Chairman Xiaoling, the college will insist on "promoting Tsinghua culture and inheriting the spirit of Daokou", always insisting on putting "education" in the first place, carrying forward the past and opening up the future, committing to knowledge and doing, and working hard to practice Tsinghua University. The teaching concept of “Trinity” cultivates and transports first-class talents for China’s financial reform and opening up; guided by the scientific research concept of “holding the sky, standing on the ground and fostering people”, continue to vigorously promote high-level frontier theoretical exploration and policies based on economic and financial practices Research and promote the development of the college to a higher level with a pragmatic style.
An era has its theme, and a generation has its mission. China is currently in a critical period of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and the college has ushered in its best period of development.
