According to Hong Kong media reports, Hong Kong director Chen Musheng passed away on the morning of August 23 at the age of 58.

Chen Musheng's last work is directed by Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse starring "Anger", the film was completed at the end of last year, and is waiting to be released. Chen Musheng joined Lai TV after graduating from middle school in 1981, and then moved to wireless the following year as assistant director of Du Qifeng , and then promoted to director. He has participated in the shooting of classic TV series such as "Flying Fox in Snow Mountain" and "Tale of the Dragon". Five years later, he left wireless and worked as executive director for Huang Baiming's "The Vinegar Man" and Liang Puzhi's "Killing Love". Later, he filmed "Royal Archives" and "Chinese Heroes" for ATV.

He has been nominated for the Best Director Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards five times with "The Stormtrooper", "Two Heroes", "New Police Story" , "Keep Talking" and "Anti-drug" .
