"Out of My World" is a feature film released by United International Pictures, directed by Stephen Dadley, with Lee Hall as screenwriter. Starring Jamie Bell, Julie Waters and others, the film is set in the 1984 British mining workers strike as a background, telling the story of the 11-year-old son of a miner, Billy Elliott, breaking through numerous obstacles and bravely pursuing his ideals.
, the 11-year-old son of a miner, faced the tradition of boxing for the boys at home. He had the courage to challenge and insisted on practicing his beloved ballet that the poor and ordinary people could not expect, and finally his dream came true. They participated in the strike, struggling in a life of poverty, and believed that Billy should learn some men's boxing. Billy discovered his subconscious love for ballet, and the fussy ballet teacher Wilkinson (Julie) • Walter (Julie Walters) inadvertently discovered that Billy is extremely talented in ballet. The two hit it off, Wilkinson even gave up her class of female students and put all his heart on cultivating little Billy. But Billy's family didn't understand why his son fell in love with girls' stuff. Billy made a painful choice under the opposition of his family.
However, the great opportunity is now. If he is admitted to the Royal Ballet School in London, Billy's ballet dream will have a broad stage. Billy stood at a crossroads, choosing his life. So he turned his back on his father's request for boxing and sneaked into his wife's ballet class. Mrs. Wilkinson also discovered his dancing talent and encouraged him to participate in the admissions interview at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, and finally realized his dream.
