James Brown is "The Godfather of Soul", a prolific singer, songwriter and band leader, and one of the most iconic figures in funk and soul music One. Brown moved to New York in 1958, where he composed and recorded "Try Me" with The Flames and other musicians. This song ranked first on the R&B charts, broke the Hot 100 Singles charts, and started Brown's music career. He soon released several hits in succession, including "Lost Someone", "Night Train" and "Prisoner of Love". This was his first song to break the top ten on the pop chart, reaching second place.

On April 5, 1968, the day after Martin Luther King was assassinated, riots broke out across the country. Brown held a rare live TV concert in Boston to prevent riots there. His efforts succeeded. Young Bostonians stay at home and watch concerts on TV, and the city has largely avoided violence. A few months later, he wrote and recorded "Say It Loud: I&39;m Black and I&39;m Proud", a protest song that resonated for generations.

Brown died of pneumonia on December 25, 2006. He was 73 years old. There is no doubt that Brown is one of the most influential music pioneers in nearly half a century. The godfather of the soul, the creator of Funk, and the grandfather of Hiphop-Brown. Artists such as Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Afrika Bambaataa and Jay-Z are all influenced by him. Brown expressed his thoughts in his memoirs, "Others may have followed me, but I am the one who transformed racist ideas into a black soul, and thus became a cultural force."
