The 2019 Brazilian Film Exhibition, co-sponsored by the Brazilian Embassy in China and the China Film Archive, will kick off in four cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Shenzhen Station will open at Shenzhen Broadway Cinema Center from November 26 to December 1.
This film festival will screen 6 high-quality Brazilian films, the opening film is "Invisible Woman". For the first time, the 2019 Brazilian Film Festival publicly solicits Brazilian films through registration and for the first time invited the well-known film producer Marcos Jorge as the curator. One of the main films in the competition is "Invisible Woman", which won the Best Film Award in the "A Kind of Concern" category at the Cannes Film Festival and will represent Brazil in the 2020 Oscar for Best International Film. The film tells the story of the forcible separation of two Rio de Janeiro sisters in the 1950s. 's other major participating film is "Rusty", which won the Gramado Film Festival's Best Picture Award. Gramado Film Festival is one of the most important film festivals in Brazil.
