As we all know, drum washing machines are all side-door structures. The biggest advantage of this design is that it reduces space occupation limitations and satisfies multiple scene placement methods.
For example, it can be tucked under the kitchen cabinets, under the laundry tub on the balcony, or stacked with a dryer, which greatly relieves the space pressure of small apartments.
However, for parents, it has a very unfriendly disadvantage, that is, when putting clothes on and taking them out, you need to squat down or bend down.
Once or twice has no effect, but if it happens every day, it will be very tiring, and there may even be unpredictable dangers caused by standing up too hard.
Compared with the drum washing machine, the structure of the top door of the pulsator washing machine is very user-friendly. Although it takes up some space, it saves you the pain of squatting and bending when picking up clothes.
3. Unable to add clothes during operation
During the operation of the drum washing machine, in order to ensure safety and prevent the washing water from flowing out, the door will be automatically locked. Even if the pause button is pressed, the door still cannot be opened as long as the power is not turned off.
This design itself has no problems, but it also leads to the embarrassment of being unable to add clothes during the laundry process.
For parents, once they forget to put a certain piece of clothing in the wash, they can only wait until the clothes are washed and wash them again. Not to mention that this will be very troublesome and will also cost water and electricity.
After all, memory will gradually decline as we age. Even today's young people often have the habit of leaving things behind.
Pulsator washing machines do not have this problem. You can open the lid directly by pressing the pause button and throw the clothes in for cleaning. So relatively speaking, it is much more convenient.
4. The cleaning effect is not ideal
When many people buy a washing machine, they pay special attention to the cleaning ratio of the machine. For example, the value of a drum washing machine is usually above 1, while the value of a pulsator washing machine does not exceed 1 at the highest.
Therefore, it is believed that the washing effect of the drum washing machine will be better.
But in fact, many people have been misled. The higher the value of , the higher the cleaning ability of the machine and the cleaner the clothes are washed, but it does not have much reference significance.
Because all values are measured under specific washing conditions in the factory, they deviate greatly from actual use results. For example, different clothing materials, capacities, and pollution levels will all affect this value, so it cannot be used as a reference for washing rate.
Of course, the user has the most say in whether the washing effect is good or not. According to the experience of the elders in the family, the washing effect of the drum washing machine is obviously not as good as that of the pulsator washing machine. Especially when the clothes are particularly dirty, the washing effect of the two will be more obvious.
In addition, we can also tell from the cleaning time of clothes. A traditional pulsator washing machine takes about 30 to 40 minutes to wash clothes, while a drum washing machine takes 60 to 90 minutes.
Therefore, for the parents, the washing efficiency of the pulsator washing machine is actually higher and better.
5. The cost of use is not cost-effective.
A drum washing machine needs about 40~50L of water at a time, and a pulsator washing machine needs about 70~80L of water at a time.
On the surface, the front-loading washing machine saves more water. However, due to the longer washing time, its water and electricity cost is higher than that of the pulsator washing machine.
If it is an all-in-one washing and drying machine, not to mention the drying efficiency is very average, the washing + drying time alone will take more than 3 hours.
Therefore, for parents who are accustomed to living a frugal life, they are simply reluctant to use a drum washing machine. Moreover, the price of roller machines is also higher than that of pulsator machines.
