The real-name system for household rapid screening reagents was implemented across Taiwan on the 28th. Under the new regulations, each ID card number can only be purchased once, and a total of 5 doses is 500 yuan (NTD, the same below). The distribution is based on the odd and even numbers at the end of the ID card number. On the 28th, only people with even numbers can purchase.
According to the latest statistics from Taiwan's "National Health Insurance Administration", on the first day of the real-name system for home-use rapid screening, a total of 4,965 pharmacies or health centers in Taiwan purchased goods. As of 11:00 a.m., 199,000 quick-screening reagents had been sold at 3,653 sales outlets, equivalent to half of today's total.

Huang Yanru, spokesperson of the Taiwan Pharmacists Association, said that there was a long "queue" in front of the pharmacy early in the morning. Huang Yanru said that according to statistics, there are about 400,000 quick screenings available for sale in more than 4,960 sales outlets across Taiwan today, and it is estimated that less than 2% of the people can buy them.
According to reports, the real-name system for masks in Taiwan was implemented on February 6, 2020, and lasted for more than two years. The phased tasks will be completed on April 30, and most pharmacies will switch to the real-name system for selling rapid screening reagents.
