In addition to its versatility, the Dragonfly has been touted by local media as the world’s first “subcompact motorcycle” thanks to its tilt steering, carbon fiber construction and dual motors. According to
, the Dragonfly of weighs about 18kg and has a maximum load of 159kg. It is driven by two 550W hub motors mounted on the front wheels respectively, with a maximum speed of 40km/h. Each front wheel is powered by a detachable 20W lithium battery. A full charge takes 3 hours, and the maximum cruising range of the vehicle is 80.5km.
It is reported that the pedals of the Dragonfly are made of automotive-grade carbon fiber and aluminum and magnesium components, while the joystick is made of aerospace-grade aluminum. The front bar is foldable for easy storage and transport. The tires are 10-inch pneumatic natural rubber tires.
Under the cooperation of D-Fly's patented linkage system and the vehicle's hydraulic damping double wishbone suspension, the vehicle can reach a super large 45-degree turning angle. Braking is front electronic braking + rear drum brake braking, and both brakes are automatically adjustable. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with an electronic traction control system to prevent the front wheels from slipping on soft or slippery road surfaces.
