Taiwan stocks fell more than 100 points in early trading, TSMC fell 7 yuan to 450

Investors expect the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to continue to raise interest rates. It fell more than 100 points in early trading, and the lowest came to around 14200 points.

TSMC’s ADR fell 0.8% on Tuesday, falling for three consecutive days, closing at 74.32 US dollars. The spot part of Taiwan stocks fell 7 yuan to NT$450 in early trading. UMC fell more than 1.5% to around 41 yuan. The three heroes of the container bucked the trend and supported the market, and they supported the red market in the early trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 37.63 points, or 0.11%, to close at 33241.56 points. The Standard & Poor's Index fell 15.57 points, or 0.41%, to close at 3829.25 points. The Nasdaq index fell 144.63 points, or 1.38%, to close at 10353.23 points. Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 45.322 points, or 1.79%, to close at 2490.167 points. (China Times News Network)
