A magnitude 4.7 earthquake hit Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang

According to the official measurement of China Seismic Network , at 8:4 on December 13, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake occurred in Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers and an epicenter at 43.54 degrees north latitude and 89.38 degrees east longitude.

The villages within 10 kilometers around the earthquake have Qugentai, and there are no townships within 20 kilometers. The towns within 50 kilometers include Biliuhe Town, Jibuku Town, , Quanzijie Town, , and Dongwan Town , Banjiegou Town , Dayou Town , Qihu Township , Daquan Tatar Township , Xindi Township.

The epicenter is 54 kilometers away from Jimsar County, 54 kilometers away from Qitai County, 68 kilometers away from Gaochang District, 80 kilometers away from Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County, 89 kilometers away from Daban City, 67 kilometers away from Turpan City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture175 kilometers, 144 kilometers away from Urumqi City.
